Marinate chicken thighs in a cup of plain yoghurt, the juice of 1 lime, 1 clove garlic (crushed), 1 tsp cardamon, 1 tsp ground coriander, ½ tsp cinnamon, ½ tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp curry powder, ¼ tsp ground cloves. Leave overnight.
1 Tbsp oil
1 onion chopped
1 Tbsp grated ginger
1 Large garlic clove, crushed
3 tsp cumin seeds
6 tomatoes (peeled, seeded and chopped)
1 Tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp sugar
½ cup sour cream
1 tsp curry powder
2 tsp garam masala
½ cup chopped fresh coriander
Fry chicken in oil until brown. Keep any remaining marinade mixture. Remove chicken from pan. Cook onion, garlic and ginger. Stir in cumin seed and curry powder, then add tomatoes, paste and sugar. Simmer 15 mmins then stir in chicken, any remaining marinade and sour cream. Lastly, stir in garam masala and coriander and serve.
